AAUW Morro Bay Branch has been described as:

The Morro Bay Branch through its fund raising efforts supports the following :

National:

    ** AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, which offers legal assistance to women seeking redress for workplace discrimination in higher education.

    ** AAUW Educational Foundation's Eleanor Roosevelt Fund, which aids women enrolled in advanced university degree programs.

Local :

     * Morro Bay High School: Annual Academic Awards Banquet and Women in History Essay Contest.
     * San Luis Obispo County:   Academic Decathlon.
     * Los Osos Middle School: Sponsorship of as seventh grade girl for "Tech Trek" a science camp experience.
     *Cuesta Community College:  Senior's Day at the college; College for Kids Scholarships; Cuesta College Chorus  and a nursing scholarship for a returning student.
      *Community Service Donations: Planned Parenthood, San Luis Obispo Women's Shelter and books for the Morro Bay Library.

 

Membership in the Morro Bay Branch includes the following interest groups:
