Arroyo Grande Village

Population (1998): 15,800

Located in the Five Cities area along with Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Shell Beach and Oceano, this town is probably the least touristy of the bunch. However, it's close to the ocean and has an abundance of parks and things to do.

Also featured in the area is some major shopping with Walmart, K mart, Levitz and the local Trader Joes.

It's quickly moving back into the hills east of Hwy 101, and the views are incredible.

Arroyo Grande is one of the gateways to Lake Lopez.

The Swinging Bridge, built in 1875.
