San Buenaventura State Beach

The claim to fame at this pier is that it's the longest pier in California.

The pier has had a long history from shipping, to bath house, and now to tourist destination.

Now, you'll see a string of fisherman, kids, and tourists lining the sides of the pier.

There are 2 miles of beaches, and a pathway connecting other area beaches.

The pier has a gift shop, grill, and upstairs restaurant with a great view of the ocean and the Ventura hills.

There's a paid parking area, but on slow days there's parking along streets perpendicular to the park like Sanjon.

There are also lots of hotels just across the street and throughout the area. Finding a late night meal in the area can be difficult though.
