With a location on the bay, just below the golf course on the south side of Morro Bay, a marina with sailboats, kayaks, and canoes, this little spot of heaven is a great place to relax or take trips into the local tourist towns.

This park has camping, hiking, golf, a natural history museum, a restaurant, and a small marina with sailboats no one ever takes out and canoes and kayaks you can rent. Don't plan on skiing, this is a no wake area.

The Cafe is one of the most popular in the area, even with locals. The food is wonderful, but don't plan on a quick bite. With a beautiful view, a warm sun, and wonderful service, who cares?

The most popular water sport is renting a kayak or canoe. Los Osos/Baywood Park even has a navy. No water they can't stand in is their motto. Take out a kayak, or even a kayak for two for an extra hand in the winds. You can paddle down to the rock, across to the sand bar, weave your way through the channels, or south to see a shark breeding area. Plan on heading up wind going out, the onshore breeze gets stronger towards eveing. There are a couple of commercial kayak rental stores that lead trips, And be extra careful of where you go during duck and goose season. Some local good old boys have no sense of humour.

You can sign up for local paddle groups on Yahoo, and join in their popular last sunday paddle.

There's also a full 18 hole golf course.

The Natural History Museum up the hill from the marina is a great time for kids. There many interactive exhibits that will educate while they're having fun.

The marina is open 9:00 until 5:00.
