Lake Cachuma is located in the hills above Santa Barbara. Even if you're not going to the Lake, taking this shortcut from near Solvang to Santa Barbara is a beautiful drive.

The site hosts full facilities with camping, boating and other facilities. It even includes a store and laundry. I found the park personnel to be extremely helpful and courteous. They were more than happy to answer all my odd sounding questions.

The park boasts over 550 campsites, neatly laid out in small groups around the park. 90 sites have electricity, and yurts are also available.
