The large white building with the gold dome off to your right is not the mission, it's the Hearst Hacienda.

The mission is further down the road to your left.

This is an active parish with daily mass at 7:00 A.M and a 10:00 mass on Sunday.

You'll see signs along the road and around the site describing the feature and history. There's also a nice museum inside.

The mission has obviously benefited from wonderful parishioners, the Hearst Foundation and the U.S. Army.

The site is also monitored for disturbance from activities from the post.
